What good is a remote backup of the catalog file when all of the referenced photo files are lost?

  2. I find it unbelieveable that in 2015 and with the latest Lightroom entitled “Creative CLOUD”, that these backup options for both catalogs and photos are not offered directly from within Lightroom via 3rd party plugins or, preferably, through an Adobe managed system. Am I the only one who’s asking this question?
