I do not own Photoshop so I’m wondering what the difference is between CS5 and Elements 9?

  2. Hi Carissa. Elements is Photoshop’s baby brother, but don’t be fooled by that, it still packs one heck of a punch. Elements is aimed at the home/casual market and as such is ideal for someone new to digital editing, digital scrap-booking or designing cards and flyers for their personal events.
You may find a little ‘Photoshop snobbery’ around, where people that use the full Photoshop will tell you its the only thing to use, but I don’t hold this opinion. It’s horses for courses.
People that say “just Photoshop it” have never used Photoshop, its a difficult beast to tame, Elements eases you in gently.
Hope this brief answer helps, I feel an article coming on…..
