I have been doing old photo restoration for a few years. I have recently encountered a problem that I cannot fix.
I became acquainted with this site while completing Janine Smith’s photo restoration with photoshop on Lynda.com.
Can I get help, instructions or advice from any specific problem from Ms Smith? The photo is a 1942-1943 photo of a soldier who died at the invasion or Normandy and I am working for the son. The photo was stored in the attic and I believe it was originally B&W and then colored. The owner used a damp cloth and washed away a part of the portrait breast. I used a copy stand for my camera instead of my scanner. I had researched colors of military uniforms during 1943 and using the color replacement tool for color correction but nothing I find in photoshop will color this area.
I will pay for your services if you can offer me advice.
Thanks you for reading my comments.
