Hello, and thanks for joining us again here on TipSquirrel.com. It’s been awhile since I last did a “What’s happening at TipSquirrel” type post and with subtle changes due to start in September I thought this would be a good a time as any.
The biggest change comes with the introduction of regular contributors, now known as The Photoshop Nuts. These eleven contributors are responsible for filling the entire month’s posts, with the occasional guest poster. Looking through the list you can see the incredible talent that has agreed to be part of this new phase of TipSquirrel.com.

I’m pleased to say that in the past month both Peachpit and O’Reilly, publishers of fantastic Photoshop books, have sent copies for review. These reviews will feature regularly and, I hope, help you decide on which publication is best for you. This site was set up so that I could improve my Photoshop knowledge so I am all too aware of how helpful a good book can be.
Lightroom Series
Starting on the 6th of September we’re running a Lightroom series. This two week period will include tutorials and competitions with some amazing prizes kindly donated by Peachpit and Adobe. There’s still time to make any requests for what you’d like to see during this series, maybe you’re struggling to do something or wonder if something is possible within Lightroom?
You may also be wondering if Lightroom is for you. If this is the case, this is a great time for you to download the demo version and find out! You can download a fully functional 30 days limited version of Lightroom here.
Thanks!
One of the things I find so exciting about running this website is the accessibility of some amazing talent. But this isn’t just limited to me of course! Contact details for all the contributors can be found on our “Contact The Nuts” page. They are all very approachable and extremely knowledgeable.
I’d like to thank you for your continued support without which, the site would not be able to move forward in the way that it is. I’d also like to take this opportunity to publicly thank all the contributors to TipSquirrel.com, it really is a pleasure to have you on board!

I did have a question about LR3. This may sound stupid but here goes. How do you set up for going to Photoshop or in this case Photo Elements 9. When I went to “edit in” I saw it found an old version of Photoshop (7) but not the Elements. Then it got me going to where the Elements was saved to. I clicked an icon there and then I wondered if I clicked on the file under Photo Elements file.
